Who can say no to the tropical scent of summer and Self Tan? I am still looking for the perfect Self Tanner and this one may be it!
I have semi-light skin, much lighter during the winter just like most. I use SPF 50 daily and do not mind being lighter or darker. Sometimes I want to use Self Tanner for special events and/or if I am heading off on holiday. St. Tropez have come out with two new products: Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Mousse (499kr/200ml) and Self Tan Purity Bronzing Water Face Mist (325kr/80ml). These two items have made their way into my favorites for a number of reasons.
Packaging and Scent
St. Tropez was super smart as the packaging is very summery – see through bottles with turquoise and a beach-feel to them. The products both smell of Green Mandarin and Hibiscus Flower which reminds me of the islands. I love the Face Mist being 80ml so perfect for travel and also the spray itself is very well done as it evenly distributes the product.
Color
I would not say that I got a heavy tan as I do with the original Self Tan but I do get a nice glowy look with these two. I love that they do not color off on clothing and it dries quickly so I dont feel sticky. It is said that it takes around 4-8 hours to develop but I personally need to re-apply after around a week later to make sure the color stays and also becomes darker.
My Thoughts
I do love the products as you do get a darker tone without it being patchy or sticky afterwards. It is buildable and I love that the face mist is travel friendly. I feel that the price is a tad high but for the scent, I can recommend this duo.
