As an avid Kat Von D makeup fan, the Pastel Goth Palette ($38) was something I needed to try out for myself.

This palette is a limited edition palette that contains eight matte shadows in pastel rainbow shades. It is a much smaller palette in comparison to the Metal Matte that came out during Christmas here in Sweden.

/Jag som köper mycket ifrån Kat Von D ville ha denna palett att leka med också. Paletten är limited edition och har åtta matta pastel färger. Den är mycket mindre i storlek i jämförelse med Metal Matte som kom ut i julas.

In true Kat Von D style, the shadows have creative names that describe the colors, star a bright yellow, gloom a green or skull a white.

I was worried that since these are matte shades, they will be quite sheer in application but they do have a bit more pigment than you regular mattes. I did notice that they did dust up a bit when I tapped my brush into them but they were still simple to apply and work well without an eye primer under. In the look below you will see them performing over NYX jumbo Pencil in Milk as I wanted them to stick out even more.

/Jag var lite orolig då de är matta skuggor så de skulle applicera ganska sheer men de här har mer pigment än andra matta. Jag märkte att de dammar upp ganska bra men färgerna var lätt att applicera. Jag jobbade med NYX jumbo pencil i Milk för att få mer intensiv färg.

There is a bit of a scare effect with this palette.. It is just a bunch of colorful matte, strong shades so is it wearable as is? Well. Yes, it is! Dare to wear Color! I demonstrated the palette by using Star on the lid, Clementine in the crease together with a soft blend on the outer-V with Meow and Dope. On the lower lash line I used both greens: Gloom and Dagger and lastly Skull in the inner tear duct.

/Det finns lite av en skrämmande känsla till paletten då det är massa färg och inte så mycket naturliga looker som kan göras men ja! det går att ha på och ser fin ut! Jag använt star på locket, Clementine i globelinjen tillsammans med meow och dope i Vn. Under ögat använd jag Gloom och Dagger och sist Skull i inre vrån.
