First Impression Friday | Kat Von D Alchemist Palette

HELLO Alchemist!

Kat Von D Alchemist Palette

Today we’ll be taking a look at my latest Kat Von D addition, the Alchemist palette. A palette that has taken many years for Kat Von D to create and something she has wanted to have herself but couldn’t find in the market.

The palette is very unique in form: A small triangle with holographic packaging and beautiful script. (yes, I fell a few weeks back and have an internal bleed on my palm.. hence the little nick there!)

Kat Von D Alchemist PaletteThere are four transforming shades in the palette to be used on their own or on top of other products to transform them.

I personally don’t have anything like it in my kit but I’ve seen similar products that are to be used somewhat like a transforming product. I have had loose pigments from TheBodyNeeds that did similar and I believe Sugarpill also had one though the shadows in this palette are not pigments but rather pressed.

I have asked around at Sephora and it seems like the palette may be making it’s way in and should be available sometime in April/May. I bought mine through a friend in the US hence why I have mine early :)

What do you think of palettes like this one? Would you rather a loose pigment or a pressed shadow?
